Welcome to the official website of the Asian Oceanian Child Neurology Association (AOCNA)!

AOCNA is a transnational medical association aimed to promote education, collaboration, research, and development in the field of child neurology.

AOCNA was established in the 1980s by its founder, the late Professor Yukio Fukuyama. With Professor Fukuyama's guidance, the Association held its first meeting in Taiwan under the leadership of the late Professor Yu-Zen Shen in 1983. The meeting, since called the Asian Oceanian Congress for Child Neurology (AOCCN), is now held bi-yearly in different countries and regions. It provides a space for child neurologists in the Asian Oceanian region to come together and share their knowledge and experiences.

In 2009, with a consistent growth in its membership, AOCNA elected its first President, General Secretary, and Treasurer. It also established various committees to specialize and develop projects that further educational and scientific goals of AOCNA. AOCNA now has more than 1000 members.

AOCNA promulgates various projects that utilizes its cross-country network. For instance, AOCNA provides a running list of available specialized medical testing technology in member countries. It also keeps members informed of available training opportunities in various regions. In addition, AOCNA promotes continuing medical education in regions with limited resource by bringing over speakers and hosting workshops on specific topics.

AOCNA welcomes all interested physicians in the field of child neurology in the Asian Oceanian region to join!
